As Census End Counting Earlier, Many Renew Efforts – The Census Bureau has announced that it will be ending door-to-door visits and data collection one month earlier than planned, on September 30 instead of October 31. This sudden decision by the Trump administration threatens to sabotage the census and leave out millions of hard-to-reach families, according to civil rights leaders.
