Salvadoran Refugee Demands Answers about Daughter’s Whereabouts – Concerned about the fate of nearly 1,500 Central American migrant children reportedly missing according to the Department of Health and Human Services, a broad coalition of religious groups and legal aid organizations are holding a national day of action to demand that the Trump administration end its policy of separating immigrant parents from their children. Our correspondent, José López Zamorano, spoke with a mother who for weeks has not known her daughter’s whereabouts and provides anguished testimony from Washington.

California Theater Showcases Music of Migration and Resistance – What does the music of our grandparents mean to us? Can it be a vehicle for recovering culture lost through slavery or migration? A concert exploring these questions was recently held at the historic Bayview Opera House in San Francisco. Performing were four musical groups with roots on different continents that have made California their home and use their music to connect with their ancestors and inspire new generations. Our reporter, Zaidee Stavely, was present at the concert and tells the story.
