Cruz Causes Uproar – Perhaps the most pivotal and emblematic moment of the Republican Convention was the speech by Senator Ted Cruz, in which, instead of backing candidate Donald Trump, he called for a “vote of conscience.” This sparked a wave of furious boos from the delegates.
