Radio Bilingüe Hosts Town Hall in Sanger with Candidate for Congress TJ Cox
Radio Bilingüe is convening a town hall in Sanger with residents of CD 21, a district with Latino supermajority and a major battleground in the fight for the US Congress.
The community forum will be be held on:
Monday, October 15th
6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Sanger Woman’s Clubhouse
1602 7th Street (at P Street)
Sanger, CA
The public dialogue will focus on issues of the highest interest to residents of CD 21, including access to health care, access to higher education, DACA and immigration, jobs, air quality and the water access crisis.
Radio Bilingüe has extended an invitation to both candidates in CD 21’s race: incumbent Rep. David Valadao and Democratic challenger TJ Cox. We have confirmed participation from Mr. Cox. Rep. Valadao has declined the invitation.
Sponsored by Radio Bilingüe, the town hall will be produced and moderated in collaboration with KQED Central Valley Bureau, and will include questions from selected community panelists and members from the live audience.
This special program is part of the series “Hacia el Voto 2018,” an election and civic-participation news coverage that’s a tradition on Radio Bilingüe. The program will be aired tape-delay the following day on Radio Bilingüe’s three full-power stations in the San Joaquin Valley, as well as an additional 60 stations affiliated to the Latino public radio network around the country. The program will also be distributed via webcast, podcast, and audio on demand.
