This week the Caravan Against Repression in Mexico passed through New York, with representatives from social movements harmed by the policies of the Mexican government. During their trip to the United States, the activists are also calling for an end to the funding from Washington for the war on drugs.

In recent months, thousands of migrants from Haiti have come to the border between Mexico and California, hoping to enter the United States. The sudden migration has created a humanitarian crisis, because of the lack of shelter and food.
